Click and Collect

Click and Collect - Introduction

library staff are providing a Click and Collect service for students and staff to pick up library resources that they have requested.

From 2 June 2020

  • between 10am and 5pm Monday to Friday from B180 (Maia in the morning and from Ask Me desk in the afternoon).
  • between 10am-4pm on Saturday and Sunday from Ask Me desk in B180

Note that items available in the Mt Albert library can only be collected from Mt Albert, and Waitākere items must be collected from Waitākere.

How to request a physical library resource 'item' such as a book or journal and collect it

Making the request

  1. Make your request through LibrarySearch, with Pickup location of "Online request"  See instructions here.
  2. A Subject Librarian will contact you regarding your request(s) and discuss with you whether there may be an online resource suitable for your request.  If you still require the actual physical item and it is currently available in the library, you may be able to pick it up as a Click and Collect.  
  3. Tell the Subject librarian if you need the physical item.  Our library staff will then try to fulfill your request.

When your request is ready

  1. Library staff will contact you when your request is ready to pick up, and send you an email with details about how to collect the item and where the collection
  2. Go to the collection point as indicated in the email.
  3. Bring your Unitec ID with you, and the email confirming your requests are ready.
  4. When you arrive at the collection point, phone the library staff member using the phone number in the email.  They will meet you at the collection point outside the library building, check your details and give you your item.
