Click and Collect

Click and Collect - Introduction

During Alert Level 3 the Unitec Library spaces remain closed to students and staff.  However, library staff are providing a Click and Collect service for students and staff to pick up available library resources that they have requested.  

This service will start on Thursday 23 September.

You will receive an email when your request is available for pickup.

Pick-ups can be made Monday to Friday between 10 am to 12pm at Mt Albert and Waitākere.

- Items in the Mt Albert Campus libraries (B180 Te Puna and B202 PASA) must be collected from Building 180 at Mt Albert Campus, and items in the Waitākere Campus library must be collected from Waitākere Campus Library. See details about collection point in links above,.

How to request a physical library resource 'item' such as a book or journal and collect it

Making the request

  1. Make your request through LibrarySearch.  The pick location is the physical campus that the item in on.  You cannot change this.  See instructions here.
  2. If you would like a Subject Librarian to contact you regarding your request(s) and discuss with you whether there may be an online resource suitable for your request, please add this in the comments.  
  3. Our library staff will then try to fulfill your request.

When your request is ready

  1. An email will be sent to you when your request is ready to pick up.
  2. Click on the link in the email which will explain where the collection point is.
  3. Come to campus during the times indicated.  Make sure to bring your Unitec ID with you.
  4. When you arrive at the collection point, phone or text the phone number on the door.  Tell the library staff member your name and ID number.
  5. Wait at the door until the staff member has had time to issue your requests.  They will bring the items to the door for you.
