Click and Collect

Need to return library books?
There are two after-hours library boxes at Te Puna B180 doors - opposite Copy Centre and by Breaktime opposite B183. Items can also be returned through Waitākere Public Library returns slot. 

Unitec libraries are open for self-service

The Mt Albert (Te Puna) and Waitākere libraries are open to staff and students for self-service.  Please check the hours on our website.

You can enter the buildings to pick up your requests and issue them to yourself using the self-check machines.

How to request a physical library resource 'item' such as a book or journal and collect it

Making the request

  1. Make your request through LibrarySearch.  The pick location is the physical campus that the item in on.   See instructions here.
  2. If you would like a Subject Librarian to contact you regarding your request(s) and discuss with you whether there may be an online resource suitable for your request, please add this in the comments.  
  3. Our library staff will then try to fulfill your request.

When your request is ready

  1. An email will be sent to you when your request is ready to pick up.
  2. Come to campus during the times that the building is open. Make sure you bring your Unitec ID with you.
  3. When you arrive at the library, proceed to the holdshelf and pick up your requests that are shelved according to your last name. 
  4. Issue these items to yourself, using the self-check machine near you.
