In this module you can learn what order you must use when you simplify algebraic expressions.
The above video from Algebra for Dummies is a quick review of order of operations. She goes pretty fast, and she uses the term "parentheses" where we in New Zealand say "brackets", but if you just need a refresher this is a good place to start.
The ten-minute video above from Khan Academy contains an introduction to order of operations. He also uses the term "parentheses" instead of "brackets".
Even though we use BEDMAS to remember the order of operations, you do not do all Division before any Multiplication. You do division and multiplication in order from left to right. You also do addition and subtraction in order from left to right.
