TRANSPOSITION, OR SOLVING FOR A VARIABLE

In this module you can study how to change an equation around so that any variable is by itself on one side of the equal sign.

The long video above (18 minutes!) shows many examples of formula transposition.

The above video from Queen Mary's College shows several examples of rearranging physics formulas.

Did you know?

It's important to stick to the rules of algebra when transposing equations.

To keep a formula in balance, always perform the same operation to both sides of the equation.
