Course Reading Lists and Short Loans (Course Reserve)

The library can display your entire Course Reading List on LibrarySearch.  We can  link to online items (such as ebooks and artlcles) as well as items physically located in any part of the Library, not just Short Loan items held at the desk.

To access a Course Reading List just select the ‘Course Reading’ tab in LibrarySearch and search for the course code, course name or lecturer name.

Overview and Policy for Short Loan collection (Course Reserves)

Selected items in the Course Reading list can be placed on short loan.  This collection provides shortened loan access to required/recommended text books, readings and other resources. Loan periods can be adjusted to suit your students' needs while still maximising access. If a resource is in high demand*, then we recommend placing a copy on Short Loan for the duration of the course which will allow equitable access for all students.

*IMPORTANT NOTE: Items will be placed on Short Loan while the course is being taught but will be returned to open shelves if they have not been borrowed more than 10 times a year or more than 5 times during one semester.

Copyright

Items placed on Short Loan must comply with Unitec's copyright policy and procedures.
