Where the Library does not hold a copy of a book, the lecturer’s personal copy may be placed on Course Reserve for a specified time, e.g. until the end of semester, and then returned to the lecturer. The title will be considered for purchase by the Library.
Note: the Library accepts no responsibility for damage to or theft of personal copies.
The Course Reserve (Short Loan) collection provides shortened loan access to required/recommended text books, readings and other resources. Loan periods can be adjusted to suit your students' needs while still maximising access. If a resource is in high demand*, then we recommend placing a copy on Course Reserve for the duration of the course which will allow equitable access for all students.
*IMPORTANT NOTE: Items will be placed on Course Reserve while the course is being taught but will be returned to open shelves if they have not been borrowed more than 10 times a year or more than 5 times during one semester. .
If you wish to place a journal article on Course Reserve please read the Guidelines linked below first.
