Student Group Study Room Bookings
You can book a group study room within one of the library spaces using your Unitec username and password.
This means that your booking confirmation is sent to your UNITEC email address @myunitec.ac.nz.
This email also contains the link to cancel your booking.
How does it work?
Simple! It's a 100% self-service system where you can book, modify or delete your own room booking.
The study rooms will remain unlocked, so just show up at the room at your booking time.
What types of rooms are available?
- Te Puna: 6 rooms in two sizes, all on level 1. Rooms 1047 and 1048 hold four people, with the other rooms up to 12 people. All study rooms in Te Puna have wall-mounted screens to plug your laptop into.
- Waitākere library: 6 study rooms on level 3. All are child-friendly. Three of the study rooms have large screens to plug your laptop into.
Whiteboard markers are available for borrowing at the Ask Me desk or library desk.
What are the booking limits?
To ensure fair and equal access to these spaces for everyone:
- Rooms are for group study, not individuals.
- You may book up to 2 hours per group per day and have one outstanding booking any time.
- Frequency limit to 3 bookings per week across all locations
- Multiple bookings will be deleted
- Bookings can be made up to 28 days in advance
- If rooms are not occupied within 15 minutes of a scheduled booking time they are available for other groups to use.
- Please be considerate and vacate the room on time, leaving it tidy.
