Te Pūkenga access to Unitec Library and facilities

This guide explains how to access Unitec Library and facilities if you are working or enrolled with Te Pūkenga (but not Unitec).

Accessing Unitec facilities

Borrowing print books/items

Complete an Associate membership form if you wish to borrow books (note the form is under development and will be updated soon)

Building access Access is unrestricted to the Library space in Unitec’s Te Puna Student Hub (Building 180) during building opening hours – see building hours Access is restricted to card access for Waitākere campus except via Student Central – enter via Student Central entrance from 8.30am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday 
Computers

You can use your own laptop or device at our Mt Albert campus, but you cannot use Unitec Library computers.

If you need a computer, you can visit any public library in Auckland and join or ask for a guest login Auckland Libraries: Computer use

You can use your own laptop or device at our Waitākere campus, but you cannot use Unitec Library computers.

If you need a computer, you can visit Waitākere Public Library (located across road from Unitec’s Waitākere campus) or any other public library in Auckland and join or ask for a guest login Auckland Libraries: Computer use
Copying and printing You can use Unitec’s Copy Centre Mon-Fri 9am-3pm in Building 114. Please bring your documents on a USB drive. See: Information on charges for copying and printing

Join your local public library Auckland Libraries: Printing, photocopying and scanning		 You cannot use our printers on level 3 of the library but if you join Auckland libraries you can use the public library facilities on level 1 & 2 of building 520. Wifi If enrolled or working at EIT, Otago, SIT, Toi Ohomai, Weltec & Whitireia or WITT, use Eduroam - on your device select Eduroam wifi and login with your home institute login If enrolled or working at EIT, Otago, SIT, Toi Ohomai, Weltec & Whitireia or WITT, use Eduroam - on your device select Eduroam wifi and login with your home institute login
