Te Puna Library (Mt Albert - B180)

Te Puna (Building 180) holds the main collection of library resources across its 3 floors.  

It caters for programmes taught at the Mt Albert Campus, including architecture, design, performing arts, early childhood education, business, computing, environmental and animal sciences, construction, engineering, languages, performing and screen arts, sport and trades.

It also has these special collections:

  • Te Kohinga Māori is a collection of resources which focuses on subjects pertaining to Māori and Māori culture.
  • Arts Files is in a  filing cabinet with art exhibition catalogues and other information on NZ artists of an ephemeral nature, with pictorial content. It is located on Level 3 in the quiet study area.
  • Fred Tschopp Collection contains aspecial collection of plans and papers related to landscape designer Fred Tschopp. See more informtaion.
  • DVD collection is a collection of movies selected predominantly for the performing and screen arts students.

Students can borrow books and journals from the general collections and DVD collection themselves, using the self-service machines that will be located on each level.  For details of the layout of resources see Te Puna library layout.

As well as a variety of study spaces, there are 6 bookable student group study rooms, all on Level 1. See the the location of these rooms at Mt Albert - Student Te Puna Study rooms.
