Keep Up to Date with the Latest Research

Alerts Set up alerts so you know when a new issue of a journal is published. Set this up on the Journal page of individual databases.

Saved Searches Have an alert sent to you when new articles are published that fit your search criteria, (also available in Google). You can usually do this once you create a free account and login in individual databases.

RSS Feeds View new content from a variety of sources in one place.

  • Download or sign-up to an RSS feed reader. Here are a couple to consider, Feedly or The Old Reader
  • Subscribe to the RSS feeds for the sources you are interested in, for example websites, journals, blogs
  • Receive updates with you feed reader whenever new content is available

Institutional Research Repositories

What is an institutional repository? 

Institutional repositories are digital collections of the research output of an institution. This output can come in many formats including journal articles, theses, presentations from conferences and audiovisual recordings. 
 
Unitec’s Research Bank 

Unitec’s repository is Research Bank. Administered by the Unitec Library, Research Bank is currently a platform for the research output of Unitec, Eastern Institute of Technology (EIT), Otago Polytechnic, Toi-Ohomai and Southern Institute of Technology (SIT). 
 
Research Bank is also accessible from the Library Home page (under “Key Resources”)
