Referencing Wiley Online Library E-Books
Wiley Online Library Ebooks do not have a Referencing help feature. Instead, please use the Unitec APA 7th or Chicago 17th for guidance on referencing these ebooks.
(Most students at Unitec use the APA 7th referencing style. Architecture students use the Chicago 17th style.)
Using Wiley Online Library E-Books (sometimes called Obooks by Wiley)
1. In the library catalogue record, look for the View Online section and click on the link beside 'Full-Text available at:'
2. Log-in with your Unitec user name and password. NOTE: Your user name here is your short user name (e.g. bloggj01 (students) or jbloggs (staff)).
3. The e-book should open.
4. Scroll down to see the chapters in the e-book. Beneath each chapter heading are several buttons. Click on the 'Summary' link to get a summary of that chapter. Click on the 'PDF' link to read that chapter. Alternatively, if you already have the Summary open, you can use the to download that chapter or the whole book.
To go back to the initial screen of the e-book, click on the book cover image.
Instead of reading just a chapter, you can click on to open the whole book. Once the whole book is open, you can use your mouse to scroll up and down in the book, or use the scroll bar on the left to go to a particular page.
There is also a Search feature at the top left of the screen near the Wiley Online Library logo. You can search for a keyword and it will bring up chapters that include that keyword.
5. Wiley E-books PDF readers open with one of two different interfaces

You can scroll up and down the chapter or book with your mouse.
IMPORTANT: The page numbers in the scroll bar on the left or at the top of the PDF reader screen MAY NOT match the page numbers of the e-book. Make sure you get the book page numbers on the actual PDF before citing from Wiley E-books.
To download a chapter or the whole book, use the or icon at the top right of the PDF reader.
Printing, Saving & Copying parts of Wiley Online Library E-books
For print books, you can photocopy the pages you like the look of. For e-books, the alternative is to print, save or copy the parts of the e-books that you need.
Wiley Online Library e-books have no limit on the number of pages you can print, download, save etc.
To download a chapter or the whole book and then print or save it, use the or icon at the top right of the PDF reader.

To copy some of the text in an e-book, highlight the section you want to copy with your mouse. Right-click and select the Copy option.
